Day 1 – Vientiane Arrival
On arrival in Vientiane, your driver will transfer you from the airport to your hotel. Dinner tonight is with your tour leader and includes a pre-trip briefing.

Day 2 – Vientiane to Pak Lay (225 km on Mixed Roads)
It’s our first riding day and we depart after an early breakfast. We ride west along the Mekong River and on somewhat remote areas along the border. Road conditions are mostly paved, some compressed dirt and paved areas. We cross the Mekong River by ferry to Pak Lay hoping to arrive by 13:00 and then take a more remote are ride on more difficult terrain. Lunch will be delicious local fare and dinner in Pak Lay. Our accommodation is a clean and locally run guesthouse.

Day 3 – Pak Lay to Luang Prabang (230 km)
Rise and shine! After an early breakfast we head north on road # 4 with a few stops here and there along the way. The road is in good condition and we’ll take a little detour on the way into UNESCO world heritage listed Luang Prabang for a stop for a relaxing swim at Kwangsi Waterfalls. Luang Prabang is famous for its waterfalls. The scenery is stunning and the riding awesome. You’ll be a little tired so after dinner tonight, a foot massage!

Day 4 – Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng (230 km)
Today we ride the premier paved run in Laos and we’ll hit it early! 230 km of twisted paved road later we arrive in Vang Vieng and if our arrival time is before 14:00, you have the option to go tubing down the river or if you prefer, the other option is for a small loop around the west side of town on dirt roads along the karst ridgelines. Dinner will be local cuisine.

Day 5 – Vang Vieng to Vientiane (210 km)
Late breakfast? Why not. We have time for a little sleep in. On the road we ride south along the main road. We are on mostly paved road and will pass the Ngam Ngum Reservoir for lunch. Riding south again, we’ll divert off the main road up to ride into town on a few dirt roads to the northeast of Vientiane.

Day 6 – Departure Day
Today we bit farewell to Laos. Your car will take you to the airport for your flight and we look forward to seeing you again.
